We have allocated the children into houses based on the local parks to Nottingham City and the county. The children work for house points over the week and the winning house each term can choose a special treat. We cant wait to see which house will have amassed the most house points this half term!

We have nurtured our vegetable patch patiently for many months, today we got to harvest our vegetables. We love the knobbly carrots and the smell of the potatoes, now we can’t wait to eat them!

Thank you so much for all your kind donations for our Rainbow Raffle as part of our Christmas Fair THIS Saturday December 10th, you are so generous everyone!

Thank you to the Education Group , who provided the VR headsets today for our Year 5 children to travel through the galaxy and visit all the planets. An amazing experience for our children to learn so much about the Solar System.
Year six have been brave and tried many exciting challenges at PGL this week.
We have a condolences book in the school entrance conservatory for our families to send their thoughts and wishes to the royal family at this sad time.

Well done to everyone in Year 4, 5 and 6. An amazing sports afternoon with great sportsmanship and resilience shown by everyone.

Year Two travelled on a bus into the city centre and back today to learn more about the geography of the city they live in. They also looked at how the transport is arranged to get people in and out of the city. They looked at the buildings too! A very busy morning consolidating their geography concepts, skills and knowledge into their long term memory. Well done everyone.

Well done to our amazing Eco Warriors who presented their case as to why we need a plastic recycling bin and more rubbish bins within our locality to the local Ward Councillors . The Councillors were really impressed with the research done and the presentation and even more importantly , agreed to work with you to achieve your aim

Year Four walked to Greens Windmill in Sneinton this week to look at the amazing structure and learn about its history as part of their CSI Learning.

We loved the animal roadshow visit this week supporting our science learning about animals. We learnt so much ! Did you know spiders and scorpions are from the same family?
Our pupils joined the NCC Primary Parliament this week to discuss COP26. They had some superb ideas and demonstrated great leadership skills.

Our fabulous Year 6 children really tested their skills and confidence at PGL last week . They had a go at every challenge and activity offered ; a fabulous opportunity to demonstrate their character to the full.
